San Diego Climate Week is a decentralized celebration of community-powered climate action.
WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO NOT ONLY ATTEND EVENTS BUT TO CO-CREATE THIS CLIMATE WEEK AND MAKE IT YOURS!
There’s no central ticket. Just browse the calendar, register for events, and show up! Whether you join one event or twenty, your presence helps shape a livable future. The calendar of events will be evolving until September 24th!
CO-CREATE
ANY ORGANIZATION OR INDIVIDUAL can create a SDCW event to reflect your creativity, cause, and community. Our event registration is now LIVE! We encourage you to apply as early as possible to maximize impact, reach, and inclusion. Make sure to read the Event Submission Guide to submit your event.

Events Creteria
Event requirements all
events must follow:
Your event should create space for collaboration, education, and action that accelerates local climate solutions and strengthens resilience in our communities.
All events must take place between October 1–8, 2025.
Submit your event to our Luma Calendar and add hello@sdclimateweek.com as a co-host with “Manager” access. Include all required registration questions, disclaimer, and media/liability waiver.
By submitting, you confirm that you or your organization are responsible for planning and managing your event, including securing a venue and logistics. Need support? Check out our Venue and Speaker resource lists (coming soon).
Events should be free and open to the public. If charging is necessary, at least 10% of tickets must be offered for free to ensure accessibility. Ensure accessibility for BIPOC, LGBTQ+, disabled, and underserved communities (consider language, ADA, and economic access).
Your event should explore climate resilience through storytelling, innovation, education, or community action.
Provide information on how attendees can get to your event via public transit, walking, biking, or carpooling.
If food is served, at least 50% should be plant-based (vegetarian/vegan options).
Avoid single-use plastics. Use reusable, recyclable, or compostable materials, and provide clearly marked waste sorting stations.
Begin your event with a land acknowledgment to honor the Indigenous peoples whose land we are on.
Once your event is approved, promote through your marketing channels, and tag @sdclimateweek so we can help amplify your event!
KEEP IN MIND
- Inclusivity: Events should be inclusive and accessible to diverse audiences.
- Community Engagement: Events should encourage active participation and dialogue among attendees.
- Education: Events should introduce ideas, technologies, or methods for addressing climate issues.
- Partnerships: Events that involve collaborations with other organizations or community groups are highly encouraged.
